18x10? Why didn't you run toyo r888s up front ?

I too won't run the r888's up front. Way spendy, I found another toyo tire that I currently have up front, and I have the nitto drag radials in back. Doesn't look bad at all.

It's hard to find a 315/35/18 in anything so I run 30 in rear and 35 in front, I agree it does look like a reverse rake at times. I think my 18x11 rears make it look even more dramatic too.

Will the 305/35/18 r888 work on an 18x11? It's 26.3" tall which would be perfect if you're running like a 275/35 up front 25.7"

If I had a 18x10 rim I'd look into the 295/35/18 nitto nt05. I think it's 25.9" tall. I believe the 295/30 is 25.1" tall! Lol, that would look horrible

Is the nitto nt05 more true to size than the 555 drag radial? Also do the nt05 hook well? Currently I have the 555 drag radials in 305/35/18, but wouldn't really want to go with a smaller tire in back. I'm looking for the best hooking tire for the street, along with something that will last longer than 4k miles like my current ones are doing.

Yes, the nt05s run much truer to size than the tiny 555r. I ran those in 315/35 on my 17" setup and they hooked admirably. They're 200 tread rating...you should definitely get more than 4k miles. Will they drag launch after a smokey burnout at a drag strip as good as the 100 tread rated 555r? Probably not....but for a street tire they're good.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 295/35 nt05 is every bit as big as the 305/35 555r you have on there now. But it would be nice for confirmation to see someone post pics of those sizes

I'm sure it would work hell I had a 295/35/18 on it but it looked like ass so I went to a 315 because BFG kDW2 DRs didn't come in a 305

Yeah it would be nice to see a comparison. With the 555r there was only a couple times that I dead hooked in 1st gear with only 455/479. The reason I'm leaning towards the r888 is people with a lot more hp are hooking well in 1st gear, so they say.

The 305/315 R888s, are almost indistinguishable in size difference. I have a friend with an 04 z06 with the 315s on, and sitting next to my car, you couldn't tell his we're 10mm wider. I wish I had an 11inch wide wheel, just for sake of price. I could have gotten the 315/35 18s for almost 70 bucks cheaper.

I'll never run another street tire, other than these in the back now. Awesome tires. This is my second set, I got about 23-24k miles on my last set. Dead hooked my car from a 40roll on nitrous(700+ ftlbs) and are great in the rain. They are a little pricey, but they are worth every penny.

Im on the fence between 305 35 18 toyos or Nitto 555r. Tried the 315 35 18 in the Toyo TQ on my 10 inch wheels and it bulged. So, sticking with 305s just not sure which brand
