For people buying these tires, please realize that they are a road racing tire.. NOT A DRAG STRIP TIRE!! You do NOT want to launch on these tires at the track, you will wheel hope all over the place.. They are a very VERY stiff sidewall!!!

Like all tires they grip will go with time. A heat cycle isn't each and every time you go WOT.. You're talking about really working the shit out of these tires for 10-20mins at a time through corners on a open track..
I'll agree with that. for a drag car, a drap radial or slick would be more appropriate. But for a street car, these foot the bill. This vid is WOT to near redline,315/30/20, hooks well. Stock 13'.

Toyo's site says 8/32 new.... Anyways. I looked at the clearance for my 315/35/17 NT05R's and there is a half inch maybe a lil more between the irs subframe bracket and the sidewall. The 315/35/17 r888 is supposed to be about an inch wider than the NT05r's from what I have read. I have the button head irs bolts already so I'm good there. Trying to decide if I should chance it. I may have to go with a spacer if I do, which I don't really wanna do. Decisions.

yeah i was looking at tire rack and it said 6/32nds but yeah i dont burnout ever and have launched my car once. although my mechanic did rip them loose once but it was all good you should see what ive done to his gt500 hehe

Just got some 305/35r18's mounted on AFS 18x10.5 reps. They're damn close to rubbing when the car is on the ground:

They actually touch when the suspension is unloaded.

on a 10.5 the 305 will have little to no bulge.. On a 10'' there is some.. on a 10.5 you can get away with a 315..

Not true with 888, 315 bulge like my old michelin 335 did. A 305 will still bulge on a 10.5 just slightly. BTW I have afs reps 10.5 with 888 315 outback and there is a lot of bulge.
