+2 Im hoping Steeda will start tuning with the Diablosport. If so I'd definitely be in. F that SCT crap.

Well I don't think ill do the firmware update. I had a friend who just bought one and has had no issues with it

Do we have any updates on of this is identifiable by dealerships yet? I'm curious.....
Although I think diablo has my business as long as someone is tuning using these tuners.

Dirty was going on some road trip this weekend. I think he was going to run a week tuned then a week stock before going to ford.

Yeah, I'm going to rock this week in untune fashion, then hopefully try and figure out how to do the dealership thing. PLASMAN already talked to the tech he knows at his local dealership, posted a few posts/pages back, and it seems it has already been confirmed that neither the Diablo and SCT reset the key count.

I'm not going to make up a warranty claim on my car just to have them dig deeper into it, but then if something does happen, red flagged. SO I'm still trying to think what to do.

Should be getting soem dyno pulls next week if all goes according to planned. Going out of town again this weekend for my sister's 21st bday, so I can't get in to the dyno until after that.

So far, I'm impressed, but still gathering info for review.

It doesn't matter. If you give Ford enough reason to want to deny a warranty claim, they will send out an inspector with a computer that will absolutely tell them if a car has been tuned, how many times and I don't know what else. There will be no hiding it with unchanged key cycles or CVN numbers.

So I guess the key is to use a device that at first glance, at the limited software level the techs are able to use, doesn't leave a big footprint.

But leaving no trace? Impossible.

How could it not leave some sort of trace below the surface? The only way a tuner can communicate with the ECU is via the tuning software. Think about the thousands of possible bits of code that are not viewable via the software.

Why not just go with a JPC tune since they do tune using Diablosport? I mean its not like they have slow cars coming out of the shop or on the tracks. They are some of the fastest cars out there.

well...I'm a little pissed.

running some errands at lunch today my tires decided not to stick to the wet concrete road (yay ultra summer tires). now I need an alignment and a new tire. Thankfully the rims are fine.

It sucks though because I'm strapped for cash and the inTune has to go back to JPC so I can use that money to get a new tire and alignment...so I won't be able to do my planned 1/4 comparison tonight like I had planned, because I'm not racing this car without getting re-aligned, which I will be doing tomorrow. I still plan on getting dyno runs tomorrow to look at power comparisons, but that will be all I can do...

How do you have a 30k+ mustang and no other money? Sounds like maybe the mustang needs to go back.

Are you expecting me to break down my budget and other expenses for you? I shopped around and got an great rate on my loan. Learning to live on your own doesn't always go as planned. Ass.
