I always said I would go posi if I did a port. Good numbers, IMO 12.1 is still on the lean side. Tune her around 11.5-11.7 like the others stated and have at it!

Good luck

We are thinking the race tune will be in the high 11s to 12.1 ish..... the street tune is going to be mid 11s

Better comparison would be the Stage 6 and Posi port though. Also, not sure since you didn't mention it, but that Stage 5+ needs to have the torque plate on there for optimum function. From everything I read the stage 5+ was designed to work with the torque plate. Also its been so long, but I could have sworn that Steg had mentioned along time ago that the Stage 5+ produced best results with an upper only. I could be wrong on that though but that's what I remember. Either way, I think you'll find Stage 6 and Posi ports to produce very similar results depending on who tunes it.

The 5 had the torque plate. You posted in my torque plate failure thread....lol
I think the comparison was about dead on though to be truthfull. The posi race ported blower is a few years old and been through 3 owners hands including me...The blower number is 0010 I'm sure Brian's learned more tricks as well since he last saw this used blower ;)

Oh ok, makes sense now. For some reason I was thinking you tested another stage 5+ that wasn't your banged up one. Brian made a great port. His race port has produced great results based on all their users postings.

Btw, very disappointed to see the outcome in your "blower situation." I really hoped things would have worked out for you given what has been known about the Stage 5.

That blower is the exact same as the last one we did. I cannot be more proud to say that either.

Thanks man.... Yea, sad situation there. They had the choice to be the heros and chose not to be .... Tough situation for all involved.

The blower has been fixed and Tony will NOT give us his shipping address. So again what was/is his true intentions?

Facts? Not sure that your comparisons are facts. While I do believe that you have an impressive port, I will never trust testing like this. It was done by you, of course it makes sense to get better numbers out of your own work. Not a whole lot of info to go along with the data either.
How about once and for all we just agree that both ports make good power and no one would have ever thought that an eaton would come close to those numbers

Steig numbers seem low for that pulley combo! And tune is very lean... Posi's numbers look right.

I started by saying owner/tuner stated the numbers were going to show 40-50 HP light. He told me the way he has the brake set on the dyno it gives closer to the real load the car sees on the street/track.

They use an autodyn 30 dynameter made by super flow

That was the all out race tune. It dynod at 450ish on an 11.7 afr. I'm not at home with the graphs. I posted the numbers in here earlier with the better afr. I didn't post the graph though .... 457/451 were the numbers it made at 11.7 afr

We sent a few emails asking you for the shipping address, that is how you would know or you could have said in the first place send back as it or fix it but you said it could not be fixed... Anyway it is ready and will ship Monday because UPS already came before I got your address.

And you said in your last email that the emails were bouncing back and you told me a couple emails before that that your email server was down..... I answered each thread you posted in my home address all emails you sent that I received and sent a pm....

Instead of the back and forth we have this one closed too.

Sweet spot between safety and power is 12.3 at the leanest from my tuner.. So it is really not fair to compare a 12.9-13.0 tune with even a 9.8 tune..

12.9 AFR on a forced induction motor is too lean, race gas, pump gas, it is dangerous and beyond ragged edge. I don't care if your car was tuned by Coletti himself, 12.9 is going to cost a motor.

+1

I will take a hit in power to not need a rebuild...nothing worse then having your car on youtube in a "_____ blows up racing _____" video.

You keep missing the 11.7 afr that is on the street tune.......the power is even lower. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt posting the highest numbers the blower yielded..... if you say its not fair to compare the leaner one to the fat one. Let's talk about the 11.7 afr with the 451/457 ish numbers. The comparison is even worse then
