Pretty basic until I can go all out on suspension Robert: BMR Upper/Lower Control arms, BMR relocation brackets, QA1 Double Adjustables and QA1 springs in the rear. Jon Lund and Van were both helpful when it comes to the rear suspension and correct pinion angle.

What are the suspension mods?

No cage at all for the moment Dave. I was staying under the radar by running with times off for a good bit of the season.

I am considering whether a cage that is good up to a 8.50 ET has its place in my car.

Alex - the car currently has a 5 or 6 point in it?

Tape and autos

As a person who loves driving a stick on the street, I do miss that element from my previous set up. With that said, I certainly have no regrets on how my car is performing at the track with the auto. The 3-speed auto from FB has helped my car perform better than my wildest expectations!

Feel free to send me a PM if you are giving consideration to a trans that is street-able with overdrive, that also performs fantastic at the track

Good job though, I'm still fighting the the dark about going to an auto :smmon:

Helitape

I am sure that more than one person finds my car's look to be somewhat amusing with my blue and grey duct tape combo :)

I would definitely be open to getting a roll of Helitape, as long as the cost is not preventative. Being able to tape up turn signals at home with a clear tape would definitely be preferable to duct tape.

In the spring let's get you a roll of Helitape. It costs more but it has no clean up like duct tape and it's clear so you can literally put it on and drive to the track and drive home and your lights still work.

Well done and congrats again Alex!

Cage

I hear you. So much for my goal of running a high 8 second pass and then converting it to stock. I really don't want to put holes in my dash, but I don't want to stop racing either :burnout:

Thx Bruce - looking forward to it as well!

The car is doing its thing, but it is still pretty darn heavy.

"Snake Killer"

Let me know if you want to race next year after your upgrades are complete. Just for fun of course. We can put your "Snake Killer" title to the test

No problem. My car is running fine. I am upgrading a few things over the winter to reach my goal next season.

Yea, it's easy to ask someone to run when you just ran a single digit pass! Are you kicking puppies now, Alex? I have nothing for you. Your "buddy" however, can get his ass dragged any day of the week!:coolman: Of course, when he's done "upgrading" his rear end, etc. But if you're interested, I know a few single digit f-bodies and Corvettes that would love to run, all in fun of course!:D

It's All Good

lol - your comment about the puppies made me burst out in laughter. You're right on there

I think you and Kali are going to have to race again one of these days. His car has a lot of untested potential, and I certainly know the man can drive. I haven't ran across too many people that run more consistent than he does.

In all seriousness though, I enjoy running my car, so if you know of any Mustangs or Corvettes who are running similar times to me and want to line up for a pass, I would love to talk to them. Shoot me a PM. The adrenaline that builds up on the line when you are racing heads up is something that is tough to match.

Next season will be very interesting! Just looking forward to what everyone is going to come out with. Congrats on your new best and good luck in whatever you decide to do next!

I'll be upgrading more than this rear end.
