the stock one just seems way out of proportion to the car, so I prefer the short ones, or none at all!

I cut mine with a dremel to roof height and then superglued the little ball back on.

I took mine completely off and found a screw that fit in with the threads and put a small vaccum cap on it to top it off.It is less than an inch tall and because of the screw i still get decent reception. However i never use my radio. I hooked up my ipod to interface with the Mach 460 so problem solved.

How did you hook up your iPod to the Mach 460?

I always thought the 8in one was to short , that being said I went with the 14in because it is right in line with the roof line so the car flows better IMO.

Same here.

IMO, this produces the best look without sacrificing signal reception.

Car doesn't look riced, but doesn't look like a fishing boat, either.

I love that! "Doesn't look like a fishing boat"!:rolling: If I ever re-paint my car, I'll delete it altogether, and install one of those amplified, hidden antennas like they use for street rods. I currently have the 14" one, and have noticed the reception isn't always as good, but I mostly listen to cd's and mp3's anyway, so it's no biggie.
