Sorry to hear. I lost a close friend to alcohol a few years ago. It’s not easy but if his parents are still alive I would encourage you to keep in touch with them. Take them to lunch once in awhile etc. share your good memories of him.

I’ve been doing this and it has helped not only me but his parents as well.

Losing a child is something that cannot even be put into words.
