Hell no. Super useful for personal and business use. I have self control and don't use it when we are eating dinner/playing with our kid.

I have to have a smart phone for work. I spend so much time on the phone/computer all day for business, I have no desire to stare at another screen for personal use.
i've never owned a smart phone. I'm on the cpu 6 or 7hrs out of the day at work and dont feel the need to be so connected.
Also i hate how much bills are for smart phones and how the battery constantly drains. I charge my dumb phone like every 2 days or something, if that.

Have owned an iPhone since the 3G. However I don't use the phone as much as I use to anymore. I do set the phone face-down on the table whenever I'm eating with someone as a courtesy.
Work makes me carry another phone so 2 iPhones on me.

If you're able to, you should port one of your phone numbers into an app so you can have both numbers on one device.
I work for the feds so my work phone is discoverable in court. I only carry it with me during duty days.
Yup, that will prevent you from porting it over!
When I worked patrol for a Sheriffs Office I asked if I could use the issued iPhone as my primary and get rid of my personal one. Sheriff said they could search the phone so I kept my personal. Not that I do anything bad but having people comb through your personal data isn't worth the $60 a month I pay for my own phone.
My current job still issues a few people flip phones. Trying to text on those number pads is so terrible now!

The people in our neighborhood saying these devices are bad are the same ones that complain we let our kids play in the street or do not follow them to the park.
I let them enjoy the same kind of fun I had when I was growing up. News ruins it by making us think a perve is around every tree.
Anyone remember the Nextels? I miss those phones. Push-to-talk was awesome! Walkie-talkies for adults.

facebook- nope, don't do that- tried for a while but got so disgusted and fed up during the political campaigns that i had to delete it for sanity purposes. i am only connected for music, emails, 2 car forums and instagram (i love looking at pictures in my spare time), and i text with friends so that keeps me connected with them. other than that i speak with people when i have to. i look up info when i have to. otherwise i much prefer my own world and do whatever i can to protect it.

That why I went to a flipper. My 6yo girl asked if she was more important than my smartphone while i was texting someone. A few days later switched to metropcs and got a phone that fits in my pocket.
Had one! At one time I did have the latest and greatest lol.
One thing that irks me is young parents using a phone or tablet as a pseudo baby sitter in public. Off topic, but somewhat relevant to the discussion.
I get it if you need it for business reasons, but a majority of folks are just bombarded with social media alerts and simply have to respond immediately because they have no self control.
I’m a forum whore and always read/learn DIY how too to save a buck. I do that on the iPhone cuz my wife uses laptop for work. How will I view my favorite porn? I scan documents with my phone too and sometimes send by email. Save pdf manuals etc. hardly get on gaybook but it’s not bad when you’re looking for contractors or some shit around your hood. Ya feel me?
