Whipple 2.9 Track Passes

    Had a private rental with some great weather

    Gen 4 2.9 standard inlet
    Stock motor
    Stock tans
    Fuel system
    Solid 9”

    Best pass off the trailer 1.48 60' [email protected] . This would have be a 9.9 but the car was breaking up on the big end as you can hear in the video.
    Backed that up with a bunch of 10.2's as the track was starting to go away as the day went on.
    Definitely has 9's in it if I can get the 60' down some more

    Thats solid. Your car has more in it. shit, crane train went 140 mph on a stock motor with a 2.9 crusher setup.

    Very nice, Frank! Looked like damn solid driving to me, 1.48 60ft really good. It breaking up in 4th had to buzz kill some momentum for sure, that very well might have been the difference in 9.9X at 140

    Thanks brotha!! Yea I was mad and happy when I got the slip lol, I knew the breaking up was the difference in the 9.9

    I'm running C16, the rear suspension is a soild 8.8 with 9" ends, upr solid uppers and lowers Viking double adjustable shocks and stock springs.

    I have to dial the suspension in just a little bit more and I'm getting that 9 on just motor and boost. I plan on spraying it just a little next season.

    Congrats! That was a great launch and definitely en route to a 9 second run but for the breaking up at the end. No doubt you'll be into the 9s in 2020!

    Thanks Bob!! I can't wait to get back out there next season. This car is honestly so much effin fun to drive now that it's working the way it should be!

    Great passes but your 10.17 pass would not have been a 9sec pass even if the car was running good on the top end . 6.54 @106mph 1/8th not going to give you 9 second pass . You need bottom 6.4 or 6.3 in 1/8th to get the car into 9s
