You're not worried about those rods?

We are gonna find out what they hold in a 4.6. Lol! This is not going to be a track sloot that gets beat on daily; so that is in my favor.

Only person I found that pushed them was making 850 through an auto with a maxed out F1a.

I have a man trans so that will not soak up as much power. I have seen the ringlands let go on Coyotes before the rods. So… I guess we gonna find out?

Look, I have two Teksid blocks sitting in the shed, one is a stock shortblock from an 01 Cobra. So, worst case scenario is that snap a rod. At that point, it will get Molnar rods, Shelby Mike timing upgrades, and I spin it harder than 7200 RPM on the same pulley combo.

We will see what shakes out.

For that WAP, Tyre was willing to change his pronouns to was/were.

I commend your willingness to push the limits of those rods.

I've gone back and forth on them for a while. The cost of failure will probably keep me from using them. I really don't want to window my block.

This has kinda spiraled and it did not go how I wanted it to before I bought the car.

So now we are at kind of an odd place with the car.

It always seems the ones that are willing to push or don't really care what happens never blow up. That happened to my buddy with his bone stock fox. He had the mind set of "if it blows, it blows". It never blew. Though I don't think he ran more than a 150 shot through it. But he wasn't nice to it on the track.

I do t think I am going overly crazy with the car or the setup. I won’t even be hitting Vortech’s published max for the blower which we know Vortech is fairly conservative with.

But, as I said, if it does we get a little more serious about power without changing pulleys. Which, who doesn’t like the sound of 7000+rpm modular engines with a Centri blower?

Yes, but that is in a Coyote that is more efficient and the pistons are lighter.

The Gen 2/3 Coyote pistons are about 370g each versus 390 for my JE pistons.

Sure, the rods may never break at whatever the car makes. It may break quickly. I didn’t plan on this route exactly. So, the car will be a good litmus test and provide data for the people. Lol

Even with the additional 20 grams on each piston I think you'll be fine as long as you don't spin it to the moon.

Ordered the piping kit without the BOV from CX Racing. Got 3” piping, will need to find somewhere to do the BOV flange install. I am using the Procharger Big Black Race Valve and a Treadstone TRV25 intercooler.

Was also told if you only buy the (v1/v2/v7) head unit, they only ship race versions. Kits are different per application/OEM/carb.
Got a Novi1500 (aka v2 Ti) and it came with a race version tag on it, though the stamp just had serial#/model. Talked to a engr at a show and he said I had the HD bearings. Some reason it's sounds louder than any of the videos I seen on the net so far. Mid range hits hard, especially if you have the right gears.

Race == HD bearings.

Rods will not be an issue.

Choosing a centri blower? Meh.

Thought I taught you better.

I thought about a turbo. I am done trying or even thinking about stupid cars. 650-700hp will be fun.

I’m honestly getting to the point where I am thinking about selling everything and preparing to move out of country once I retire. Lol

And you did teach me better. I’m just a stubborn asshole.

Outtie belly-buttons will now be referred to as “belly weenies”.

Wow!! Sounds like you know your blowers...
I have a similar build going on as we speak. 04 Mach 1
I got a 5.0 stroker kit from modmax with 11.1 Manley flat tops all forged internal.
Kooks Long Tubes Todds Cams.

I just got my Block back from the machine shop this week after 8 weeks.
Now for the fun part, I get to set all my clearances on the short block and put it together.
Then move on to finishing the port work on the heads.

I was on the fence about putting a blower on my build but looks like you just pushed me over.. LOL I like the black Vortec.
Best of luck with yours.
