Brrruuuuuhhhhh....

I got a hankering for some heavy premium fabric polo shirts. Like that quilted Rugby shirt thickness or at least like a nice flannel.

Was perusing the outdoor outlet mall with the baby and like literally everything was dog shit quality. Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, US Polo, Lacoste (inventor of the Polo). Poor stitching, thin material. You can tell it is going to shrink and never be unwrinkled again after the first wash. (All were in the $80-120 range)

This is probably a @Klaus question.

Any suggestions, in don't care at all about branding.

Not looking for those spandex golf shirts either.

You gotta get out of the outlets they all buy poor quality materials for those outlet stores. Macy’s and, Dillards might be a good start and make the sale associate do their work and show you what you are looking for.

I feel you though. Every polo is made of razor thin “dry fit” type synthetic materials and they are trash. I found some decent polo’s from a brand called psycho bunny. They are a nice thick cotton not that doesn’t shrink after a wash.

I have a few new Tommy Bahama polo shirts that are excellent. The majority of my shirts and jeans are from Tommy Bahama. Not cheap, but they wear well and are always comfortable. Their jeans, by the way, and absolutely the best I've ever owned.

Everybody has their favorite and not-so-favorite brand(s).

Gildan Polos on Amazon are good materials. Also they are like $10 each.

I like Duer, Banana Republic, and Brooks Brothers.

Duer is lighter weight and athletic cut. Very high quality. The Only Polo - Gull

Banana Republic and Brooks Brothers are heavier weight and cotton or cotton blend.

Good thread.

I bought a handful of Tommy Bahamas cotton as I had some older ones that lasted a long time, but they are all shit. Have to iron the collars every wash even though it was an "iron free" polo.

@ToddW702 I saw that store recently, but the naming I thought it was a Spencer like clothing company lol. Will check them out.

Duluth Trading, not sure about the polos, but they're the only socks I wear. I've some shorts of theirs also, their stuff wears like iron.

2nd this although I am not very fond of PA. Youre right though...IMO they are exactly what OP is after. they are indeed thick.

Our company supplies all new management members with 5 new Port Authority polos upon hire. I opted out and bought Nike lol.
