Yeah, well for the most part. Highway 48 is pretty desolated except for the the fishing spots on the side of the road. I am from Mission so I live about 90 mins away. So i try to come at least once every other month. Although I had not been to Brownsville in over a decade. Cant wait to start my vacation next month. Two months off so you guess what I do.
That's awesome. I'm jealous. That area is one of the top 3 spots I'm considering for retirement.

Yeah you will love it. Its pretty relaxed down here. The towns are booming population wise though

Spi is my favorite beach. Bars and surf are good and not over crowded. Parking a two min walk to the beach is almost always available.

Neighbour gave me a hunk of wild caught salmon. Made it up with the sugar sauce blend and bbq it.

Had some cubes up taters baked.

Wild fish is so mush better
