I did a search on the forum and couldn't really find anything posted recently about this topic and I thought it might be a fun thing to start.

My question is this: What do you guys/gals use as your DD and why that vehicle?

I'm looking at building my Mach into a demon but I don't want to daily drive it. Kind of trying to decide on which route I want to take. I was looking at some 2004-2008 Ram 1500's and Ford 150's because of the utilitarian aspect of being able to tow my car if I needed to (god forbid) or other useful purposes. I was also looking as some "fun" compact cars like Civic SI's, Acura RSX's or even the new Dodge Dart.

Just looking to see what kind of DD everyone else uses and maybe I'll get some more ideas from it.

I daily drive my 2015 Nissan Altima. My first car was a Nissan Maxima. I owned the car up until about a half a year ago when I sold it and got into my Altima. It had over 230k miles on it and was still running strong. Never had any serious issues with it, so I decided to stay with Nissan for the DD aspect. So far I love the Altima. I got it with only 17 miles on it and have almost 9k on it, no issues on anything and IMO it's a nice sharp looking DD. It's a bigger car, so it's not something you're gonna really toy around it, but it rides smooth gets great gas mileage(40 hwy) and is overall very comfortable and a nice contrast vehicle to the cobra. I think the Accord's are also nice, but I didn't like the interior nearly as much.

I daily drive my 2005 Dodge Ram Daytona 4x4. I bought it new in 2005.

With an extra set of snow tires I change out for the winter months, this truck gets me around anywhere, anytime. It has the 5.7 Hemi with CAI, Dynatech longtube headers and running a performance Superchips tune. I have never had any problems with it other then replacing the battery.

I daily drive an 06 silverado 1500 ext cab. think its at about 64k miles. My wife daily drives a 2014 sierra crew cab 4x4, think it has about 42k miles lol. And we also have a 01 bullitt that we take turns playing around with. it has 132k miles. Have a 88 coupe as my toy. For a daily, i have to have a truck, and my wife has to have a truck. I cant work out of a car for a daily. Always hauling something around, and even when im gone, my wife has to pick up the slack and haul the things i need done. So no cars as a daily for us.

My daily is my 2015 Mustang GT coupe with 6-speed manual.

I wanted a daily driver that had the following: manual transmission, V8, nice interior, lightweight, brand new, RWD. The only other cars that came close were the Camaro 2SS RS and the Challenger SRT8 – both of which were considerably more expensive. The Mustang GT offered more equipment wise compared to the competition.

I will be driving it in the winter as well. I have blzzaks ready to go.

Either 2003 SVT Focus or 2005 Dodge Ram 3500
Just depends on if I need a truck or not that day. Most times it is the Focus.

I feel like I would be happy as long as my DD is something that isn't totally boring. IE. a Prius, or a midsize SUV. I'm leaning towards the Dart because its cheap (14-16K) and is sporty (Turbo, Manual)

08 Legacy GT. It is almost never this clean but I bought it in late 2008 with around 25k on it and 7 years later it's around 110k with next to no issues the entire time.

That honestly wouldn't be a bad choice, I'll have to look into some of those.

EDIT: For the same price, I can get a BRAND NEW Dart....ugh decisions...

I rotate between my 2011 Honda Civic and my 2010 F-150, majority of the time I pick the civic as I work 30 miles from home. On the weekends we normally pile into my wife's 2014 Camry since it has a little more room than my civic and that means more room for the kiddos.
