I have an oil leak and it appears to start around this bolt. It always has oil on it about to drip. I tried to tighten it but it was not moving. I don't know if it's a front cover leak or something else.

It on the drivers side above oil filter

Any help is appreciated.

Mine leaks from there too. I think the oil is coming from that dab of silicone at the timing cover where the head meets the block.

Yeah, I can see that. Jeff, can you feel if the washer has space under it at that point?

I did not check as it's a pain in the ass to get to. I should have checked it better while on the lift. It's the same problem as the other guy who just made thread called Front Cover Leak under terminator talk. They were saying it's probably the oil filter adapter gasket.. I hope as that is much easier than the front cover leak.

As I suggested on the other thread.....get the uv light detectable oil dye to pinpoint.....it's cheap and any local parts store will have it. Oil can and will run to CRAZY places that have nothing to do with the source of the drip.

I had block to oil cooler leak.

That made a stream of oil. No drip.

The valve covers.

These have a reuse gasket.

If these were ever removed

Silicone dabs need to be added in 2 spots

Top of the timing cover at head.

Timing cover gasket is a reuse also.
