I was never a vert fan either, until I got older. Now i don't mind them. I spend much more time cruising around and like the open-air experience.

I've been searching for my next project. I've been wanting to Coyote swap a 99-04 and think i'm going to look for a convertible roller.

That would be fun for sure. I want a Corvair convertible but also wouldn’t passs on a deal on a 96-98 Cobra vert.

I like running a stock 192-194 stat in my foxes. Previous owner had a 160* on a stock 5.0, so I replaced it.

192 thermostats were out of stock at LMR, that's what I wanted. I will be picking one up and switching it out as I ended up having issues after my last post.

So after my last post I ended up having issues with my gauge reading on my trips to and from Carlisle. I believe LMR sold me a bad sensor and my gauge was pegged at times in the red. I drove a total of 350 miles in 2 days, gauge would be in the red for miles and I never lost a drop of coolant and the car never overheated. I will be swapping sensors back one at a time to find out which one is the culprit. I assume it's the temperature gauge sending unit...Also will be installing a mechanical gauge for piece of mind. So Frustrated at the shitty parts that are sold these days.

Anyway, Carlisle was a blast as usual, more foxbody Saleens than I had ever seen in one place. I My dash was signed before I got the car but I had Steve sign the headlight bucket just because lol.

I've done some WOT revs with it, but haven't gone out on the highway yet. I had a brake hose rubbing up front so I wanted to fix that first. I did this past weekend, so will be looking forward to testing it out.

I have some revving in this video near the end. Did some db comparison with the flowmasters and they are quieter at idle, but just as loud at WOT

Great vid Mike. I haven't seen your face in years. You still look the same!

Went out for a cruise with some friends this weekend. Need to do that tfi relocation cause it wouldn't start in this texas heat after stopping for some grub.

I sold this awhile ago but figured this thread would kind of appreciate it. It is a 4.6 2V swap so I get why people hate on it. It was fast for what it was.

Specs:
1987 GT hatchback
Stock 4:6L 2V
Comp XE268 cams, CMS600 springs, GT500 followers
Long tubes
BBK 78mm tb/plenum
D1SC
3.85 pulley (12lbs at 6300rm)
Magnafuel 750 external pump, -8/-6 lines in a sumped tank
3.73s
T45
Holley Terminator X tuned by Matt at Mustang Muscle
Never had it dynoed on this specific setup but it made 440/400 in my 2001 GT before I wrecked it and swapped it into this.

I had big plans for this car (teksid build, auto swap, ported 2V heads or trickflow, big cams, etc) but I was able to get my dream car (03 Cobra) and lost interest…

FInally got the thermostat swapped out. Took the 192 out and put my 180 back in. I like where the temp sits now. My issue with the 192 was that it was slow to open. Lots of up and down. When the car warmed up, it would spike high to where I thought it would overheat and then finally come down. Lots of up and down. Perhaps it was that one tstat being bad, but I didn't like it. Put my old reliable 180 in that was in the car since the early 2000's previously. It opens up and the temp stays constant through the entire drive. No swings.

But, got it all back together. Had to buy a new tstat housing as my old one was leaking due to some pitting issues. Put a clean used one on.

Got some more test drives in. Really liking this engine combo. Idles well and lots of low end torque. No low-speed bucking either, so gotta give Ed Curtis credit there for a cam that chops pretty well but idles great.

I do have an accufab 70mm TB to swap on soon. Going to be changing over to Megasquirt shortly.

The filler neck on your PS pump...can you elaborate?

I'm running hydroboost. It's a remote reservoir setup. I swapped the rear housing of the pump for a Ford Escort housing, and plumbed up a remote tank.

Here's the pump with the tank not in place yet. Added a 6AN fitting to high pressure outlet and then it has the small return port (under the protective red cap). None of the lines are run yet.

And then heres the reservoir mounted up.
