Dropped the IRS, disassembled it, cleaned the diff housing and the cradle. Next will be all the bushings. I sure miss the simplicity of the SRA.

This thing was filthy and had some surface rust. I’ll scuff it all up and paint it with Hammered paint to hopefully prevent it from rusting more.

We had mine powdercoated

, well worth it and will be easy to wipe down when dirty

Can this be set up to cut the ignition similar to the old Lean Protection Module? I had one on my first terminator, previous owner installed it. it was set up for nothing more than a gauge.
Yes it can. The video I saw when it came out they had it cut power to the ECU for half a second.

Battery sat a little too long. Tender was taken off her for the GT500. Popped the fuse for the radio. You can sense my enthusiasm for pulling that apart to replace the fuse. Lmfaoo.

Decided to try out the Toyo TQ's. My buddy is putting together a cruise in a couple weeks and it sounds like the guys I ran last time want to run again. No spinning at 80mph this time.
What size? I'm curious on how well they perform compare to the R888.

315/35/17. It's the same size I have now. The R888R is ok in the warmer months. In the spring and summer I do ok for traction. But in the winter they're not that great. At least for me.
I figured that out last week, mofo blew the tires off doing 70mph when I stabbed it in 4th gear

The last time I ran it hard I blew the tires off on the 3-4 shift. I didn't think it was bad, but when I got home I pulled the log and the traction control was in full affect.

I've had much better luck with the TQs hooking than the 888s. But I'm one of the anomalies on here since so many swear by the 888s.
315/35/18 TQ > 315/30/18 888 for me.

315/35/18 TQ > 315/30/18 888 for me.
My r888s were find until I made the switch to E85 or maybe having a good clutch that's can handle the power now causing this issue. Now I just spin 1st and 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear. Could be the tires are 4 years old but there's only 5k miles on them but it's time to replace them.

I currently have the 305 35 18 but should have no issues going 315 35 18.

Thanks for your input.

How do these all compare to something like a 555RII? I recently bought a set of big sidewall RII's in a 275 to fix my 15x10 rear and I'm wondering how that loss of tire width translates to putting power down. My street tires are 315 Azenis on 18x11's and I just blow them off all over the place.

Gonna slap these with some 18 inch replica FR500 on the cobra, hopefully soon as I can get all my rear irs parts together. Might need to get some new springs too. I’m pretty sure what I have on the car right now are cut stock springs. We will see how it goes.
