I believe the aeroforce is seling the voltage the pcm sees its different than the system voltage.

You must also remember vmp doesn't manufacture their own blowers so they have a lot more restrictions on their options/offerings. Eaton makes the rotor packs and Roush and now Magnusson makes the case. Does eaton even offer 2.3 rotors anymore? Are they harder to get/more expensive? Does the case manufacturer want to deal with making 2 smaller volumes of 2 separate cases? or just 1 larger volume of a single case?

True. But I'm guessing they do make the 2.3 rotors since VMP still offers the 2.3 for the GT500.

After 5 years and a new motor, trans, blower setup, fuel and coolant system the Cobra is running again! Just a startup tune for now while I tie up a few loose ends, final tuning planned for next month.

Eaton originally claimed they weren’t going to produce it anymore in favor of the newer 2.65 design... now I’m not so sure since there’s still 2.3’s in production on other platforms. I wish VMP would have tried to make a 2.3 TVS2 rotor pack which was the gap between the two that was geared towards being compound setup friendly.

Gave the cobra a full detail. It was sitting in the garage for awhile while I was doing the 6r80 swap.

The sotp feeling is a crazy topic with these cars. I went through 6 different blower swaps on my car. Never had a tvs so I can't comment on that or compare it but I have been in every single power adder combo cobra you can think of. I know that a upper lower ported eaton at like 17-18lbs will feel just as snappy if not a bit snappier than lets say a twinscrew at 15-17lbs. even a 2.3L whipple. A 17lb 2.8 kb or a 17lb 3.4 whipple will feel a little lazy down low. Yea its still strong but it does not have that snap. so this is low boosted twinscrws.

Now, once you boost these big blowers to where they are supposed to be at, then its a different ball game. My 2.9 at 22lbs and then at 25lbs, was vicious. In 2nd gear at 4k rpm, the car would literally just jump forward like a motha ****a. My 2.3 whipple at 22lbs didnt even come close to the same hit. My 2.4 kb wasn't even that violent. The 2.9 at 25lbs made my ported eaton setup feel like a honda civic.

maybe going from a twinscrew to a tvs you will notice a difference. How they push the air into the motor? like the difference between the roots and twinscrew. But going from a 2.3 tvs to a 2.6 tvs and you loose all this low end tq just increasing .3 Liters? I have no clue lol

Fixed my hanging splash guard today. Only took me like a decade to resolve... Lol 8c1960b3cf4b12e37a74ccd0c3c00411.jpg 73a9fd1436af848a145828e8407e656c.jpg 2ea828b33fc69ba24031020a41454620.jpg e2a1bfc576c607cd3ee4802907071ad7.jpg

I saw this part on my Mercedes when I did a repair on it a couple years ago. You can see in the picture below it slots onto the liner and then has a soft rubber part that gets tucked into the fender lip (not sure if that is the right team or not).

I thought I had to purchase the whole splash guard which was priced at a point I didn't want to take a chance on it. But I had to buy something else for the Mercedes and spotted this part on its own. Figured I'd give it a try. It is a fairly long peice so I just cut it to size for the Cobra.
