Mine is pretty consistent.
10% Lethal/VMP.
30% boobs.
30% backsides.
30% whatever the wife and I discussed that day. Like yesterday it was Mazda ads (daughter new car) and pet foods (new dog coming soon).

On days that the wife and I only talk about tits and ass it goes to 45% each for those.

Yeah, I'm not searching for celebrities' partners and I get those ads a lot. I'm not searching for naked children either, that was the most disturbing one. I think it was a Christmas themed ad, I haven't noticed it in a while.

Yes, the Christmas one is creepy. Very weird and the dad looks like a major dbag.

The land of commies and socialists!
thats what I thought, but being at work I obviously dont search stuff like that

I am not entirely sure how it works but I am relatively certain Google has figure out a way to figure out what computer/network you're on based on your phones location.

Insane I know but hear me out. And no I don't sport a tin foil hat.

Years ago when I started a new career I had ZERO phone signal at work and ZERO wifi. Basically went to work and my only communication was email via a work computer or land line.

I have a rather boring career where I accomplished 99% of my job in the first 1-2 hours of the day leaving me with plenty of time to screw around on the net.

At this time I NEVER logged into any site be it a forum, PayPal or Amazon, absolutely nothing and did zero online shopping. Things that popped up on YouTube were different between my phone and work computer. Playlist I created on YouTube were also different between the two. I felt I had to be careful what I watched because of who I worked for and with. I intentionally didn't watch certain content on the work computer.

After some things went down and some people high up the chain got mad that they couldn't use their cell phones we magically get wifi. I of course connect to it so I can text my wife.

One day later the play lists and channels I watch on YouTube but ONLY on my phone start popping up on my work computer. Even a podcast I hadn't been able finish on the way into work that morning showed up on the top row.

I also noticed that morning when I checked the news there were Summitt adds on the site for brake rotors I had been looking at 2 days prior on my phone at home.

The only way I can figure this happened is because of the addition of wifi at work because like I said I kept things separate and intentionally did not watch certain content at work.

To back up this theory I am now again in a new job same field where I have no cell coverage or wifi at work. Back to email or land line for communication and 3 months in my YouTube is different between my phone and work again. I see no adds for stuff I search for or look up on my phone either.

If someone has a better explanation I am all ears. As for now I believe we are all being tracked more than we think.

I was getting a really disgusting one with a tree half cut down with what looked like human remains inside... Really ****ing gross...

Doesn't add up with my constant step sis search history so I'm at a loss as to why.

If my wife and I speak in front of our Samsung tv's, our phones or the Alexa and Google home disks in the family room about anything, related shit appears on our tablets, computers, phones and the televisions. The tv's will even sometimes ask if we would want to watch a YouTube video not completed on our phones earlier.

They are all listening. All the time. Sometimes the Alexa and the Google home interrupt us in conversation or comment on something on tv that we are watching. It seems really funny at the time.

Watch the movie 'Social Dilemma' on Netflix. The CEO's of many social media sites won't let their kids ever go online because they know exactly what their companies are doing to everyone.

By the way, I couldn't remember the name of the movie. I googled it and described it four or five ways and google would not give me the name of the movie. Usually I can describe a movie like a complete idiot and google figures it out.

Hmmmm......

I don't use any device that can listen. Doesn't sound like I'm missing anything.

I don't use any device that can listen. Doesn't sound like I'm missing anything.

We first got the Google disk as a novelty because we were constantly looking stuff up on our phones while watching tv. Being able to just call out the question and get a spoken answer was pretty cool.

We aren't involved in any shady or illegal activities so we weren't overly upset if someone in China or law enforcement was listening. It was also pretty handy when adds popped up for stuff we had discussed buying which gave up more info, options as to where to buy, sale prices and that sort of thing.

Then we noticed google started to pretend she didn't know the answer to certain questions that were controversial but whose answer would make the conservative side look good. Our phones (also google based) could answer the questions easily from the same database. Hmmmm.....

But finally, after watching how involved social media became and how it almost single-handedly got a win for Biden, we are now in more than a little fear of how powerful the big tech companies have become at shaping attitudes. As the machines listen, they can key in on phrases and key words, just like the NSA does for phone calls, and pretty much know who thinks what in any household.

Imagine how easily they can generate a list of voters to target and get out to vote while purposely avoiding inspiring the other side to do the same. It's amazing. Make stories that support one side appear everywhere while burying the ones that make the other side look good. I'm no Trump fan but I'm realistic enough to know that without social media and big tech he could never have been elected in the first place and would never have lost the second go round.

It's definitely something to think about and be aware of. We whisper around our devices now so they can't hear us.

Your cell phone listens to you, as does your computer if it has a built in webcam. Newer Smart TVs do as well.
I don't use a cell phone nor is my tv hooked up with Smart. My laptop has a webcam but I don't turn it on. I'm not anti-tech, just not overly impressed with it. Seems like it's created more work/trouble than it promised it would alleviate.
