Don Walker. I spoke to him througout this and he helped out with some part numbers.
Well I guess that shows ya I didn't know as much as I thought I did on this forum!! LOL
So what's the latest on this?? With the search feature down on this site, it's kinda hard to search for any new threads that snowmancobra might have posted..
Don's was done a 2002 GT with a '01 Cobra block and Heads and then he rebuilt it using the '03 block and '01 heads. I have also done this to my 2002 GT using '03 block and '01 heads, but used the Kenne Bell.

Hey guys. Just finished reading through 4 months worth of sorrow here. LoL.
I too have already done this conversion. Except mine is with a 04 Mach-1. Very simular to the 2001 snowman is doing. I have a "complete" list of Ford part numbers to do the swap. It is 2 pages long. Ford has little to no pictures of these parts when ordering them. Its like classified or something?? I got most of the hard to find numbers off actual parts from a good friends Cobra.(Thanks Chris!) The list is 2 pages long. 65 percent of the parts I bought were found at the classifieds and eBay.
I have just reflashed the modded tune into the car and fired her up. It idled fine and then I noticed the ALT. was not recharging the battery. It will be a few more days until the new alt comes in and the test run is made. Modular Depot did the tune and I will have it dyno'd tuned very soon by them.
Wish I could post some darn pictures here. Something has changed and now I don't have the option. ?? If any specific part numbers are needed or pics of these parts. Contact me at [email protected] I have pics of the harder to find items.

Orange blast--- Very cool conversion first Ive heard of an 03 Cobra eaton on a Mach1. What do the machs have for internals? Are they better able to handle boost than the 99/01s? Hopefully they have better rods, anything would be better than the stock 99/01 rods.

Hypreutic pistons(cast) and cracked rods. Same as all 96-2001 Cobra's
Crap thats too bad. I was hoping they wouldve changed the rods out for something better.

Sweet man I wish I had kept my parts list so I could have helped some people out with this swap. It really isnt that expensive if you do it right(junkyards, donor car, etc..) Anywho lemme know what #s you make. I love the instant torque!
the funny thing bout themach is with its higher compression it will fall apart faster than an 01 would with the kit...LOL

Orangeblast -- R U running an 03 processor or did you need a custom tune just to get it running?

You really don't want to run the Cobra's processor because its set up for 8:1 compression and there are other sensors such as the boost by pass valve that it will look for. I run only the Mach's stock sensors,wiring harness and processor.
I'm running a custom tune from Modular Depot. I mail ordered the SCT Excalibrator from them with the custom tune loaded into it. When the weather breaks, I plan on putting it on the rollers at their place for a optimum tune.
The file I have now really rocks! Should you go with the SCT, I can send it to you.
Orange - Would I just need the SCT hand held tuner to try your tune? Should have install done in about 1 week. Thanks...

Now my tune is set for these conditions by the way.
Turns off knock sensors,traction control,rear O2 sensors and set for 4:10 gears.
With the extreme tune software you can change that gear selection in the program. Its very easy.
If you want, you can also talk to the guys at the Modular Depot. They could fix you up. It was them who made the program to begin with.
