Vintage Boss 302 Print Ad

Buddy lent me a stack of vintage Hot Rod mags and I thought this '69 Boss 302 ad was pretty cool.
What they used to advertise...valve size, optional gear ratios...now its "how big is the screen" or "automatic butt wiper"
I like my late model stuff, but this is just neat to see what guys were looking at in '69.

True! Hell it even states right in the ad "You get 290 hp at 6000 easy revs. And it can be tuned for more."

These were one of my first dream cars when I first started paying attention to more than advertised horsepower numbers. I’d still take one for sure, but they aren’t at the top anymore.

Still, a ‘70 Boss 302 to me would be bad as hell sitting in the garage.

Yep, it was underrated, as was the Z/28. Actual HP of the Boss 302 was around 350.
