BOIIIIIIINNNGGGG!!!
I have been following and waiting on Instagram. Cannot wait for the final reveal and for your thoughts after driving it
You and me both. I'm still living vicariously through the pictures the McLaren folks send me.
That must be so cool. I know it's hard for you to answer every question, but have you ever commissioned a build/spec and been disappointed even slightly when you've finally driven the car? Does the wow factor ever wear off?
Sure. It's like anything else - not every car is awesome, and especially with the low-production cars, often you don't have the opportunity to drive them before you take delivery.
The 'wow' factor of a new car does wear off. What doesn't wear off is learning to drive quickly - best $ I've spent so far on my car hobby has been the driving training. I get to use that every single day.

A custom Rolls-Royce Dawn called “Silicon Valley Meets Black Badge,” which went to, of course, a Silicon Valley executive. Google’s Vice President of Engineering, Benjamin Treynor Sloss, ordered this Dawn, which is apparently yellow and blue instead of yellow and black. It matches the rest of his car collection, which is modeled off of the Modenese flag.

The blue, not black, on this Dawn is called “Pikes Peak Blue” because of its owner’s interested in the hill climb.

I tried to watch this the other day but got caught up.@treynor Ben I think it is time your start looking at the new Aston Martins. So in this video he goes to one of Red Bull's development centers and they put him in a sim to drive the new Valkyrie, but first they have him drive a setup that emulates the fastest car on the market at the moment. They mention at the end that the Valkyrie out laps this mystery car by :29 seconds! And there is still the AMR track version on top of the regular Valkyrie.

Thanks for posting that, absolutely outrageous how fast that car is. FWIW, he hit 210 mph on that straight, the fastest F1 car last year hit 208 on that same track.
