It looks like I misunderstood the original posters statement. I thought he meant moving from a stock catted H to a catted x pipe will make him lose power. I didn't know he meant going to a catted x pipe from a off-road x-pipe.

You most definitely will lose 3-5 horsepower, but that's really minimal when it comes to 1 running cats in areas that require it and 2 sound quality (raspy w/o usually).

I for one dont like the sound of a off road x and slp loudmouths way to raspy. And believe me i have that combo on my car now. It's so annoying even barely touching the throttle inbetween 2500 and 3000 rpms is obnoxious. I am changing my mid pipe asap.
