Had the cobra at the strip last night. My first run was a 13.2 with a ton of wheel hop that made for a really early shift to second (2.6 sixty). Second run was a 12.41 @ 116 w/ a 1.98 sixty. Finally learned to launch the car, amazing what the right launching technique with the correct clutch slip and throttle play can do to wheel hop and traction. There was ZERO wheel hop and almost zero spinning on my 12.41 pass. Just as I was thinking about tearing the rear end apart to put in new bushings, all I had to do was learn how to launch properly and my problems are solved. Now it's just a matter of being able to launch at higher and higher RPMs while keeping traction. This is an addicting game.
