I've tried to order the r888s from 3 different sites. Every order had been canceled due to them being phased out.

I ended up just buying the mickey s/s in a 305/35.

I loved the R888s I used to have. I was planning on getting another set, but I guess I will have to wait for the R888R. I'm a fan of a new model better than the R888 as it is an excellent tire.

So what's the main difference in the R? Obviously the tread pattern but is the compound the same? I've got the 888 on the Shelby and one Terminator. Great tires.

13 - So the passenger tire large patches are on the inner being asymmetric, correct?

Tread pattern. Same compound just new design. The biggest change is obviously the water channel for people who track in the wet. went a little overkill but screw it, other than my girlfriend it's the only other thing I spoil

Ok, little update to this thread....just ordered 2 R888s 305/35/18 from Tirerack. I first got online, it says available 7/28....8/1 delivery. I called them to be sure and they assured me I will get them and it won't be backordered or cancelled. I made the transaction.

We will see. Supposedly delivering to my door 8/1. Tirerack has been good to me thru the years so I went with their word

Nice. Glad to hear it could've just been a bad rumor or possible miscommunication. Great tire I have trust in for low to mid 600rwhp

I just chatted into TireRack and all 20" options in the R888 are OOS. Anyone else gone from R888 to the Rs? Thoughts?

Are the R888Rs running just as wide as the R888s? I always read they were wider than similar sized tires

I think the 285/35/20 will be my next tire on the Hellcat
