ok guys, so ive decided to just get a set of 305/35/18 for my afs reps. i was waiting for the 315s but honestly, for pretty much the same contact patch between the 2 sizes, ill settle for the 305s this time around, now my couple questions are:

my power range is around 650 rwhp. are the 305s just as effective at this power level as the 315s

also, i was looking to put the 275 35 18 nitto nt01 on the front. anyone have any experiences with this tire?

i have h&r race springs, all isos in place with low pro irs bolts

I actually think the 305's might be better as your getting more sidewall with those than the 315's. Not 100% sure though.

Looking to buy a set of these but need some input. Current wheels on the car are 2k Cobra Rs. They were on it when I bought it so I assume they are the AM reps. Those were only a 9" wheel correct? I need tires bad and want the 305/35R18 but if that's too big, I'm going to run the 275/35R18. I'd go with a 285 or 295 but they only come in 30 sidewalls and I don't want a sidewall that small. Ran a 30 on my old mustang and I didn't like how it looked.

Do NOT run a 305 R888 on a 9" wide rim! You'll have to stick with the 275's and even then they might bulge a little on a 9" wide wheel.

I run NT01s all the way round for auto-x events, just don't drive in the rain, not a good daily driver tire... it is really for competition that requires a DOT legal tire...

I've got about 6 thousand miles on my r888s and they probably have another 3 thousand miles left in them. Although I just installed a whipple.:p

Anyone have a lot of experience at the drag strip with these? What psi are you running and what 60 ft times are you guys pulling?

Good to know, the new found power will create more wheel spin!:burnout:

I've run the 305-35-18 Toyo R888's on a few of my project cars from my 2002 twin turbo Saleen (700rwhp) to my current 2003 Mach 1 (475rwhp).
These tires literally can do it all. From rain to shine these tires have never let me down and hook surprisingly good.
They don't hook as hard as my Mickey Thompson 305-35-18's but I would never drive the M/T in the rain ever again after getting sideways on it during a mild mist once!

I have a set of 18x11.5's in the rear. Would you recommend 315/30r18's or 305's? I have 3/8th LP spacers in the rear also. I also have 18x10's in the front. Would you recommend 275/35r18's or 285/30r18's? Any hell would be great! Thanks
