Did you get the harness that hooks up to the rca jacks on the radio? If not the amps are not coming on to run the woofers.

yeah my other one had that but i ordered a new one and hopefully this one works.. i might have had the wrong one before i mean i noticed there was no difference in sound quality when i unplugged the rca's so that means i wired it incorrectly but i didnt its just the wrong harness, it doesnt plug in very solid when i hooked it up the the stock harness so thats when i knew

i had to buy the install kit because the plastic frame they gave me was a p.o.s. the new kit i got was amazing and looks way better, the unit will be more secured with it as well so i would recommend it.

my music videos work fine now on mine, just sound quality on some aren't as good. CD's no problem at all. plan on replacing my mach 460 completely since it is ass i.m.o. with type-R speakers all the way around and a 10" sub.

Anybody having problems with the white 8 pin connector mating up with the Ford 8 pin wiring harness connector? The one I have Won't mate up WITH OUT bending the pins. The connector is also too big to mate correctly. I had to remove the pins from the Metra connector and put them into the Ford harness 8 pin connector.

JVC is the best right now.

I'm going to wait until stereo manufacturers regularly adopt Android OS to run their touch screen systems. There is one right now made by some no-name company, but it pretty much sucks and I'm unsure if it is currently available for sale. A prototype showed a tiny screen with an old and very stripped down version of Android OS.

I would like to be able to use PowerAMP Media Player and Torque in-dash. I run a PIE adapter with my Mach 460 and Android handset, but using Android OS in a car stereo would make it a cinch to customize and probably encourage big name stereo manufacturers such as Kenwood and JVC to increase the processing power in their stereo head units.

I'm also very picky with the physical appearance. I like a factory look, and finding a touch screen head unit which combines a clean outside appearance and a full set of features is tough to come by, at least for me. A customize-able splash screen and configurable layouts/GUI would be nice.
