Sounds like you have the rpms up plenty, but you either need to burn it up a little as you roll out so the rpms don't drop; because it is defiantly bogging, or try a clutch dump lol.

Either way, 136 mph na... damn son, that car makes some steam

Its going to be real hard for you to ET to match your MPH. 136 is friken flying for a N/A car but your first gear total ratio is the killer. Back in the 90s I helped a friend with his N/A Mustang and it would run 9.60s @136 so this shows what your car "could" run. A lower rear gear would put you over the 10:1 first gear and that would help a ton.
Dont forget that every tenth in the 60 would be close to a tenth and a half at the end so that would put you around 10 OHs.

FWIW just to show what your car is capable of, There is a local guy that has a heads and cam Z just like yours but his is an Automatic and I think he has run very low 9s.@ around the same MPH as you. Im not saying to switch to an automatic,Just showing what you power is capable of running.

What are you launching at? Try slipping the clutch a little more and keeping the rpm's up. Dumping and launching too high doesn't always get the best results on a corvette. Also when you do your burnout drag it out close to the line some.

That is moving at 136 and it runs very straight as well.

Just wondering what size tires you are running...sig says slicks and skinnies.

yup, Id be happy with 10.20-10.40.. Ive seen the auto hci c6 z06 youre talking about.. pulling 1.21 60's and 9.40s I believe.. all motor :D

ive been to the pad a few times, but to be honest I prefer to race at the track.. years ago I use to go out to the pad with my stang and had some close calls.. I just dont trust other peoples driving..

I was launching at 5k-5500.. Slipping the clutch.. I never dump.. Tires are at 18psi.. Hoosier 315-35-17s drag radial.. I tried lowering to 15psi and they spun.. a guy at the track said thats bc they are biased ply, or maybe the other way around.. said I need to keep these at 18psi which makes sense bc it hooks at 18psi.. said If I wanna go 14 or so psi I need a mt et street.. I didnt think mt made this size so thats why I went with the hoosier..
I tried launching at 6k rpms last time, and 18ppsi in the tires.. It spun..

I honestly think Im slipping too long.. not sure what Im going to try next..
Ive tried slipping quick and a lower rpm like 4500 and it did about the same, 1.8 60s.. bogged bad..
def needs a good slip of the clutch but too long holds it back and too short seems like itll bog..
I think Ive got one more track visit left on these tires before I go to a MT slick..
Next track outting Ill prob try launching at 5500 again, slip it quick, like maybe 8' and then nail it..

Going to post on ccorvetteforum and see if anyone has any tips..

Thanks man. yup, goes straight as an arrow!
hoosier 315-35-17 drag radials :D. need a short tire like this for better gearing on the z06.

My best launches came from 4200rpm. I never ran a slick and won't because I don't care about drag racing but I got a 1.639 60' (with a garbage clutch)on a 19" NT05R with 18psi in them. Always had the best luck with drag radials with a little heat in them. Throw a MT drag radial on it and let her rip.
