Not sure.. didnt know he was smoking till the vid.. lots of white smoke though huh..what happen to the 350z smoking did he blown a engine. nice run
yup, Id be happy with 10.20-10.40.. Ive seen the auto hci c6 z06 youre talking about.. pulling 1.21 60's and 9.40s I believe.. all motorIts going to be real hard for you to ET to match your MPH. 136 is friken flying for a N/A car but your first gear total ratio is the killer. Back in the 90s I helped a friend with his N/A Mustang and it would run 9.60s @136 so this shows what your car "could" run. A lower rear gear would put you over the 10:1 first gear and that would help a ton.
Dont forget that every tenth in the 60 would be close to a tenth and a half at the end so that would put you around 10 OHs.
FWIW just to show what your car is capable of, There is a local guy that has a heads and cam Z just like yours but his is an Automatic and I think he has run very low 9s.@ around the same MPH as you. Im not saying to switch to an automatic,Just showing what you power is capable of running.
ive been to the pad a few times, but to be honest I prefer to race at the track.. years ago I use to go out to the pad with my stang and had some close calls.. I just dont trust other peoples driving..I thought that track looked formilar lol! never realized you were local.
Do you go to "the pad" or you keep her on the track ?
I cant wait to get back to the track again!
I was launching at 5k-5500.. Slipping the clutch.. I never dump.. Tires are at 18psi.. Hoosier 315-35-17s drag radial.. I tried lowering to 15psi and they spun.. a guy at the track said thats bc they are biased ply, or maybe the other way around.. said I need to keep these at 18psi which makes sense bc it hooks at 18psi.. said If I wanna go 14 or so psi I need a mt et street.. I didnt think mt made this size so thats why I went with the hoosier..What are you launching at? Try slipping the clutch a little more and keeping the rpm's up. Dumping and launching too high doesn't always get the best results on a corvette. Also when you do your burnout drag it out close to the line some.
Thanks man. yup, goes straight as an arrow! That is moving at 136 and it runs very straight as well.
Just wondering what size tires you are running...sig says slicks and skinnies.
Thanks man! Heres some more vids with the gopro if youre interested! You have one of my favorite C6 Z's. That color is beautiful. Nice runs. Also, now I'm excited to use my new gopro this summer
