Sorry no pics but have seen it personally on at least 2 cars and road in one in a True Street cruise before running bottom 11s.
I wouldn't fear the 305 Nitto fit, keep it to 26-28psi on the street and adjust from there.
Bruno, def go 555Rs.

So not a lot of bulge on the sidewall with the addl width, over the stock GY?

I wonder how much wider the tire is overall, isn't there variances in widths on same size tires that vary by manufacturer? Meaning some 305s may be wider than others?

I used stock up front and installed the Nitto 555R DR 305/35/20 with great success. No dyno numbers but around 700 wheel with stock suspension.

Go Toyos 888's 315's and you will thank me later.
Yes they will fit the stock wheels.

So there has to be a significant sidewall bulge throwing a 315 Toyo onto a stock 9.5" rim? Not only that, but since these tires are "30" series profile, that would create an even larger fenderwell gap unless lowered. A buddy of mine put these on his stock wheels and that is the feedback he gave me.
Do you have any pics of them on stock wheels?

A 315/30 will have similar sidewall to a 285/35. It's slightly smaller, but not by much.

Perhaps, but I can tell quite a bit of difference.
