I am in the market for some new rotors. I would not be asking for opinion if brembo had not discontinued the blanks for our cars. I do not want to buy store brand rotors again.

I have been looking at Centric, EBC and Stop tech. I am not sure what to go with because I don't want to buy junk rotors that wont last long or squeak bad like the ones I have now.

So what do you guys run/recommend?

Are you talking about on the track or just street? I think most of the track guys here just run oem rotors unless they find a deal on something. The aggressive pads that work well on the track will chew up any rotors anyway. I myself run OEM rotors without turning them

Rotors don't squeak, pads do. So, what kind of car, how hard are you using it, and what kind of pads are you running?

Try looking at frozenrotors.com, the prices are kinda high but they seem to offer a high quality product

I intend to use the car for a few open track sessions this spring (car is down for the winter). Car is an 03 GT with Mach/cobra caliper upgrade.

Right now I am running napa premium rotors and Ford oem 03 cobra pads. Before that I was running Hawk HPS. Both sets of pads I have run on these rotors have squeaked badly with the Hawks being the worst. I assume it is actually an issue with the rotors because a friend of mine is running the same setup up front with the same issue but not as loud and using different pads. I honestly think it is an issue regarding the quality of the rotors.

Let me make your day. Apparently not many people know of this company but they are top notch for drilled and slotted at cheaper than blanks price. r1concepts.com

I run them on every car when I need brakes. They do the job and look cool for a VERY affordable price.

Advance Auto Parts here. When I crack them after 5-6 events I take them back and can usually get them replaced for free twice before they start to get wise.

I just checked them out, they dont look half bad but I would like to see some comments on how they hold up as far as track use compared to OEM rotors.

Centric is the same company that make power slots and stop tech brakes BTW.

I knew about power slot but not stop tech. Doesn't surprise me honestly.

I may end up going with EBC. I say this because I have ran their stuff on other cars that I've owned and never had an issue with them. Plus I like the slot design. I think they would be better then store brand rotors. Thoughts?

I'm not sure about track use. I drive mine real hard but I haven't ever tracked the car. They still look near brand new on mine though.

DO NOT use EBC! They will not hold up on the track (coming from someone with personal experience).

I'm referring to trying the rotors out on the track. I'm planning on running carbotech XP10's on the track. Just looking for rotor options

I would suggest getting a two piece rotor set for the front and back with extra sets of rings to have on hand when you will need to replace. Consider cryotreating. Brake duct cooling is a must.
