well on a more positive note at least we got through december, and almost all of january before winter kicked in. nothing etched in stone about this weekend either, could be alot or almost nothing, very track sensitive.

I live in a condo building with balconies for each apartment. However the top story ones don't have a roof overhang on theirs, so they basically got the brunt of it. I look up at these balconies and they are completely covered, like all the way past the sliding doors. Those are at least 6.5 feet, so the snow coverage is pushing close to 7. Some of it may be runoff from the roof but still, those guys are not going to see sunlight in their living rooms until May.

Holy Crap man!!! that is crazy!! I love snow but that is just a little to much for me. How do you keep it from pilling up on your roof? It doesn't look like your roof is super steep?

lol i rent so technically the roof isn't suppose to be my issue. but i have to go up tomorrow and push some of it off to be safe. if it were my house i'd have been up there right away because theres a hell of an ice damn on it (you can tell by the icicles).
I'd be worried about the glass breaking on those windows...
they're fine, the snows peaked so its not really putting a ton of wight against them.

Lol nope. Had 26" in 24 hours in my hometown one time and that was more than enough snow for a life time as far as I'm concerned.

We've had our share of snow for the past few weeks, but nothing compared to what you folks up in the Boston area have gotten. Those are some insane photos. Looking at the fence almost covered with snow is just amazing. We're supposed to get some more snow over the next few days. Hope Boston is spared.

I for one own a snowplowing company on the south shore of Boston. We've been working days on end, with little to no rest for the last 17 days. I owe everyone and their uncle ( and aunt, grandmother, god-father, etc.) money. Financing the snow removal for 9 commercial properties when you get 6' of snow in 17 days is not a fun time. If I hear another, "you must be raking it in comment", I'm gonna punch the person in the mouth.

Thankfully, our new gas powered F350's are all running like Swiss watches though. Great trucks. 2 of them have over 4k plowing miles each, and they weigh 12,040 lbs loaded with sand/salt and 8' plows. That's some serious miles going forward to reverse, forward to reverse for sometimes 48+ hours without ever turning them off for even a second.
