If your goal is to run as quick as you can with your car then a 11.09 is quicker than a 11.16!! At the end of the day I don't want to get outrun by .069 by another car just because I wanted to run the stock airbox!

An interesting and valid way to look at it.
I am surprised it hasn't been cleaned up by the mods, but it does not belong in Smackdown. I am going to add more times to this thread. I am not done testing.

:burnout:
I had a perfect outing to test the JLT against the stock box this weekend. Three passes, all with 1.7 60 foot times and all between 11.9 and 11.94. Went to install the stock box, left the screws for the MAF at home.
Doh!
I will be out again, weather permitting, next Wed. and will try again. I think I have the car dialed in now.
Mike

Might not...
Might be...
People have been tuning them on the 2011 for years now, shouldn't cost $200 for a tune for an intake.
Just wondering how much Shaun will charge to change the tune(once you have his tune) to one that supports the jlt. I know Shaun has put a ton of work into it(as well as mike), hopefully that work could apply to all of us that have an aed tune and want a jlt

Shaun does not charge you when you make hardware changes.
Mike
even some guy at the Texas mile went fastest WITH the JLT.
Jesus Christ, I'm so sold on him!!!! Tuner comes Wednesday. But I'm hitting the track with stock tune.
[youtube_browser]M9Nv7yLRjJo[/youtube_browser]Why do you insist on twisting things into what you want them to be? I was very clear about this, in fact I even stated you would try something like this. There was a 1.2 MPH spread amongst the tested runs. Yes, the JLT was on there for the fastest pass, and it was also on there for the slowest pass. What you're doing is no different than if I were to only say "some guy at the Texas mile went slower WITH the JLT". That's dishonest, and I'm not going to do that, why are you doing it?
I'll have some more info on your intake soon, I'm looking into something that Shaun previously mentioned about it, and this particular thing affects automatic cars which is something he was not dealing with at the time. I want to be certain about this, so I've gotten access to a 2nd one of your intakes so that I can confirm this is not isolated to just the one.
What you ought to do is get the AED tune finalized. Then, reflash it to stock for the track. Make a couple baseline runs, load up the AED and run it. I told you that you can borrow my wheels while we are there if you want. Shit, get a set of rear wheels and I will probably have my M&Hs sitting around if you want to mount them and use them. I should be on the new Goodyears.
Mike
Agreed. You've got $50 for the filter and what, $250 for some plastic? Is that #$@% gold plated? ha haThe price of the intake is a bit high for what it is
