djpheer said:the srt version will be 475 hp + and where do you get the impression it is 300-400 lbs heavier? the shelby is a pig! lol Styling? the shelby looks like a mustang v6. lol. Don't get me wrong, i am in the market to buy a shelby gt500, but these arguments are futile.
Miata Love said:It's in the Feb issue of MPH. Not just spy photos either they did a story on it. 3600lbs and 425hp for 28k. That's Corvette performance for Mustang GT money. I'm defiently buying one.

Evil_Merlin said:There is NO way the SRT-8 will be selling for 28k.
ALL the SRT-8's start at 38k...
Miata Love said:The RT will be coming with the 6.1 not the SRT like the other cars. See the pictures where it says R/T on the car? There's also some hood shots out there that show the 6.1 decals on the hood of this car. The 6.1 is the base engine in the new Challenger. No crappy V6 or 5.7 in this car. They say if you want that you have to buy one of the 4 doors they built on the same platform. The SRT version is said to be a detuned 6.4 (392) with around 475hp. Oh yeah no crappy SRA either it only comes IRS.
Evil_Merlin said:The 6.4 is PURE rumor. Nothing more. Again, the 6.4 is NON-emissions rated. Meaning it's not street legal...
There is also the possibility there will be no SRT version of the Challenger...
Funny how that SRA based 05 Mustang handles just almost as good as the Miata...
Miata Love said:What are you basing that off of? Skidpad #'s? That doesn't tell you how a car handles it just tells you how good it can hold a 300ft (usually) circle going in one direction.
Evil_Merlin said:Skidpad, 200 ft salolm and 600 ft salolm...
Captain Beyond said:All of a sudden, the people who hate the 05 Mustang's retro styling are now liking the Challenger's retro look?
SID297 said:In the Miata'a defence a lot of that has to do with the Miata having no balls. Wait, maybe that's not really in its defence oke:
