The two fugitives had to have been armed since they shot and brutally killed the two prison guards. I'm surprised there wasn't an exchange of gunfire. These two thugs must have believed the homeowner was no one to mess around with. I salute him for holding them for authorities. He likely had no idea who they were. Here's an instance where the death penalty should apply.

Wonder if the home owner and neighbor will get the $130k reward. They should get something imo.
i notice how this doesnt make any big news since gunowners saved the day. had there been a shootout with the fugitives and they were killed it would be all over the news saying how guns dont help, leave it to the police etc..
According to a new update, the fugitives were not armed. The guns they used to shoot the guards and fire at the pursuing detectives were left in the Jeep they had been driving when it crashed. They just surrendered to the homeowner. It took about 3 minutes for detectives to arrive. Here's that news update I read on Fox News. Quite a story, the way it ended.

Read the same article Bob. He had all his weapons loaded but still chose restraint & faith. Glad he and family are ok.
