Not worth it :nonono:

A teenager has died and another injured after a fiery crash in Springfield apparently caused by two cars that were racing.

Fairfax County police say 17-year-old Adam Foote was treated for injuries but didn't survive. Foote was a passenger in one of the cars.

Police say drivers in a Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro were racing on Old Keene Mill Road about 2:30 p.m., at the same time a
Ford dump truck was trying to make a left hand turn, and the Mustang smashed into its rear end.

The impact sent the truck crashing into a third car driven by a 63-year-old woman. The Camaro crashed into a light pole, and the driver was uninjured.

Truly sad to hear kids my age dying, i hope those other people are alright. Makes you think twice about letting your 17 y/o loose with a stang.

And all the youngins always wonder why we give them a hard time..

the average age of the people dying involved in street racing is probably < 20

Very sad indeed. This is the reason the states are making the penalties for street racing so high. Now a family morns the death of their son over what?.?.? a street race.

Its sad, but it would have been even more sad if he had killed someone that was just driving along minding their own business...

it's not worth it
2:30 in the afternoon and they're blowing through like that from stoplight to stoplight?
just because the light is green doesn't make it all clear
Dumb. even dumber that he was a passenger who died.
There's no need for it
simply put make sure your kids respect the car's power

Irresponsibility at its finest.

On a side note, did that vert have a roll bar? Or is that just a light bar that happened to survive?

Of both the kid and the parents. That a kid would take those risks with another person in the vehicle is stupid enough, let alone other drivers. Thank God no one uninvolved in the race was killed. I know exactly where that is, that is not a fast moving road, often congested and has tons of entries and left turn lanes with no lights onto Old Keene Mill. Its also speed trap hell, so most drivers are pretty much right at the speed limit most of the time, and people turning onto roads dont expect someone over 45mph.
