SVTP-Home of Spider Threads- Please tell me how to kill them

My new apartment seems to have a little spider issue- buggers that are so big they cant even walk straight. I bought a gallon jug of indoor, outdoor bug repellent (including spiders) that I will spray along every baseboard, wall penetration and window sill.

Between Ken Block, pontia...forget it i'm not mentioning the rest of the typical threads on here- other than spiders. There are hundreds of posts on here about spiders. Other than setting the house on fire, what are your proven methods of deterrence, obliteration, extinction and elimination of spiders in your house or apartment?

I use a shoe or bug killer most of the time. If those aren't handy I do it the SVTP way and use my massive johnson.

Place them along the baseboards in bathrooms and other high traffic areas:

I would also keep a can of Raid Spider Blaster handy in every room.
It shoots a long narrow stream so you can snipe the bastards from a distance:

My daughter and or cat would have a heyday with that pad.

My kitten is about a year old now and is pretty good at killing spiders. She plays with them then eats em.

Thank you. I have something similar but I will try this stuff out. Do you spray the inside of your house also? (penetrations, under baseboard heating, etc?)
