http://www.svtperformance.com/forum...tp-nation-mustang-week-2012-day-5-cruise.htmlAt Mustang Week 2012 SVTPerformance debuted a project we have been working on for a long time, the SVTP Foundation. We started an institution that will be able to pool the resources of over 134,000 members and the greatest vendors in the industry to make a positive impact in the world. We will be donating to various charities, funding research projects, and setting up our own scholarships. The best part is the members of SVTP are part of the process of deciding what causes we support.
Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach was the location of our first donation drive, a raffle. Not just any raffle though, an SVT themed raffle. We raffled off a Power Wheels Ford F-150 SVT Raptor that was signed by SVT engineers who worked on the Raptor program. This truck is a one-of-a-kind piece of child-sized SVT history. Chances were $1 each or 6 chances for $5 with all of the proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
A big thanks goes out to Jamal Hameedi and the guys at SVT who helped us out. Lethal Performance and Late Model Restoration are also to be commended, as both made sizable contributions to the cause. In the end we raised over $650 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (I went ahead and made it an even $1000). Congratulations go out to the winner of the truck Harry Hanson. We delivered it him and his four year old son last week, but before that we were able to have a little fun with the truck:
Our next fundraising raffle will involve a Magnuson Supercharger, so be on the look out for that one in the near future.
