GAP only covers the loan amount, and from what I recall, institutions will not allow you to take a loan on ADM.That's why you get GAP insurance.

ADMs suck, no doubt about it. But it is a capitalist society. Why sell something for MSRP, when you have hundreds of people willing to pay you thousands more? You would be dumb to sell at MSRP. The market sets the price, not the manufacturer.
If you want one now, you have to compete / pay to play.
Or, perhaps, not pay the ADM/MVA.
I agree. That's why I'm pointing out that it is completely our fault and that's a shame.

Exactly.Gotcha. Thought about that but wasn't sure if that was actually the case. Essentially it is like paying a down payment then.
If history is any indication, MSRP means very little. Back when the '03 Cobra came out, dealers were charging as much as $20,000.00 MVA. I was in the market for a '17 GT 350R. I couldn't find one for less than $10,000.00 over MSRP. Most were more than that. One local dealer was listing them for $115-$120,00.00. Seriously? I didn't get one partly because I couldn't find a dealer that wanted to deal and I really couldn't see spending nearly $70,000.00 for a Mustang.
This one will be no different. It will most likely cost more, which might make people ask themselves....do I really want to spend $XXXXXX on a Mustang.
Without getting into a debate about new vs used, when you're talking about $70-$90,000.00 for a car, there are a lot of other nice options.
I sure miss the days of having a 5L LX option.
yes and no the 10-20 K ADM yes you are out of that but your insurance or the other guilty parties would cover the MSRP of said vehicle.
If I was living comfortably as a millionaire I would probably just pay the added 20k too, which this GT500 will attract plenty of wealthy buyers. So dont count on the Mustang community banding together to boycott anything. Unfortunately, the average enthusiasts will have to wait until they can scoop one up without the ADM. That's just the way it works so it doesn't do any good to incessantly complain about it.
And adds weight....the number 2 gripe...With all the complaints about the rotary shifter, what is the alternative? A flimsy plastic console shifter? Push button? Column? Its all electronic anyways, so why mess with a lever shifter that takes up space and wears out over time?
So, I guess it doesn't have an idle speed when you release the brake pedal? You have to press the gas to make the car move at all? Forgive my ignorance as I've never driven a DCT, but I have to assume this as there is not TC and you mentioned clunky low speeds.
Dodge seemed to figure it out...

No thank you.For some people paying 20k over msrp is peanuts.
There’s a garage in downtown Boston where parking spots cost 500k each plus condo fees.
I met a guy that personally owns 5 spots.
Think about how much your house is worth if you pay 500k for a parking spot.
For people like these, paying 20k or more to get something they want is like us forking over $5.

I have no expectation of people coming together and refusing to throw money away, nor am I incessantly complaining about it.
I am simply adding some observations to the conversation.
