Well, farewell my '03 vert. It was a fun 7 1/2 years. The car gave me no real problems (other than like 5 alternators). I was at 108,000 miles, 65,000 of them pullied with the basic mods.

I wish I woulda bought a coupe from the beginning, but couldnt pass up on the deal (I bought it for $19,000 in '06). The car was just not comfortable enough as a daily driver with the HR Race springs and delrin bushings in the rear. So I traded it in for $10,500 and bought a nice and comfortable 4 dr. I should save $50-$100 a month on gas.

I'm not leaving Mustangs completely tho, I do have a '69 MaCh1 that is my focus now. Not too much more to go on it, I'm ready to start ordering the engine/parts (shortblock, heads, etc.) now while the bodywork gets finished up.

I figured it wouldnt make too much sense to have two similar cars (I'm not rich) and was afraid the Cobra was inching closer to needing work done.

Thanks again for all those who've helped on posts. I'll probably still roam the Terminator section from time to time.

With 108,000 miles, $10,500 isn't the worst...idk why everyone is saying he got bent over backwards lol. Cobras with over 100k sell for 13-14g's private party. He also said it was leaning towards needing work done, so what he received seems fair in my book.

I agree with 05SatinGT.
Yeah, you might of gotten a few more bucks on a private deal.... but sometimes it's worth just getting out from it quickly.

Hahaha I like how everyone knows the history of the car that makes tem believe it would be worth top dollar.

The car had one weak cylinder last I did a compression test. When I had the car first pullied, it made 45X rwhp. Last time I dyno'ed it two years ago, it made 42X rwhp. The car still ran strong, didnt smoke.

The front bumper needed to be repainted (some chick hit me).

The top leaked pretty bad into the trunk.

Some drunk driver hit my car like 5 years ago, needed new front end, driver fender, headlight, and hood.

The steering rack was leaking pretty good and needed to be replaced. The rear pumpkin was due for a reseal bad.

Just wanted to break the post up into two.

The car needed maintenence items such as new front tires, front rotors, and brake pads all around. It needed one new headlight and taillight housing, and third brake light.

The alcantra needed to be replaced on both front seats. It really could have used new carpeting too.

The windows NEVER sealed ever. The bearings on the belt tensioner or idler were squeeling pretty bad. It was due for smog (CA).

Interior just rattled with everything.

Believe me, it was a good car, but age was catching up. And these are just things that I knew about.

I could have cleaned it up and sold it to an unsuspecting buyer for like $15k. But I couldnt in my right mind do that to anyone. Some of you guys should really look in the mirror if you're willing to do that to your fellow neighbor/enthusiast.

Good luck....what condition is the Mach in?

It was basically a shell in need of floors and a new passenger side 1/4 panel when I got it. The metal work is all done now. All it needs now is an engine, minor bodywork, paint, and headliner. The rest is done (brakes, suspension, transmission, etc.). Hopefully finished by the end of spring.

Its gonna be running a 408w or 427w with about 520-550 hp (not rwhp).
