SO i am looking at a single rear mounted turbo setup. I dont have room in my engine bay and really dont want to deal with the plumming of 2 turbos etc... I plan on doing compound boost into the KB 2.1... my question was a large single turbo.. do i need to run both header banks into one 3" exhaust pipe to feed the turbo in the rear? I have an H pipe with dual exhuast right now.. I plan to leave the dual pipes in the back as its a rear valance exit now and looks so clean... I am looking at about 5PSI with the turbo... but need about 1500 cfm...80mm turbo??

But yes you’d change your exhaust into a single 3” to feed the turbo.

my issue is that I really dont have room in my engine bay for a bigger blower..I might be able to get a 2.6 in there (clearing hood etc) but its just not enough power.. I was also thinking of a procharger feeding into the KB.. this way everything can be in the engine bay... its a show car but still needs more power :)

No room to stuff one down low up front?

I can’t imagine anything worse than a centri and pd on one car lol

Have you checked the actual dimensions of say a 2.6 or 2.9 tvs etc?

How much are you trying to make? People seem to find the pd blower ends up being a restriction on compound setups

This. A 2.6 can take you pretty far. And they're not that big relatively speaking.

Not to mention who's going to tune it? Most tuners I know won't touch a compound set up. Too much of a headache.

Bob makes a very valid point. Finding a tuner for your compound setup is not going to be easy. SO many red flags on this one.

Previously, compound setups that have been tested with KB blower's have resulted in seals in the blower being blown. If I remember correctly, they were only able to get the compound setups to work with the eatons.

I did see a street racing set up that used a gutted with two low mount turbos. It looked like a basic bolt on car.
