I was inquiring about a borla atak cat back exhaust for my 03 cobra , left my number on a post and ...

SOMEONE here on this website contacted me and scammed me out of 450$ sent me pictures of a borla atak exhaust and stoped responding once he got payment.

His number is ‭(316) 247-6147‬

And name on his Venmo account

This is why I highly recommend to never buy off of a PM if the person doesn't post in a public thread.

There have been several scammers lately.
Venmo is a part of PayPal, so there should be some form of action to be taken.

My advice, contact the police dept attached to his name and phone number. Press charges for theft by deception. I have no idea whether or not you will get the money back through small claims court, but the State will more than likely rock his world.

I’ve already contacted Venmo .
I actually sent him 1st payment of 150$ to hold it for me then on payday I did send him the final payment of 320$

So I actually sent him 470$ not 450

They cannot do anything they clam.

Looks like 316 area code is near Wichita Kansas. Try posting in the regional forums down there and see if anyone knows him. If you can get his address that will be even better.

Venmo clams they do not offer buyer seller protection. I will go to my local authorities tomorrow .

I hope he sees this , if he gave me my money back I would forget this ever happened.

But what about your bank you paid with? Have you contacted them? Im sure they will also want a police report
