I bet there's a few members here who are thinking of relocating to NM...
the power trip BS with LEOs is no surprise. Too many juice heads becoming cops. Half the ones I know personally, are either on roids, or using those heavy duty barely legal supplements.
Wasn't enough of a settlement imo. He could have gotten close to 8 figures if it went to court.
But in reality this actually only hurt the taxpayers of said county anyway, as they are footing the bill on this one.

LEO agencies really need to up their psych evals on who they hire into a position of authority over the public.
Just like how people say that you have to have a more than average amount of narcissism and unhealthy dose of psychosis to be politician in today's climate (another group of people that need better psych evals), I think that there are more and more people with complexes wanting to be cops. There's still certainly those who joined to genuinely "serve and protect," but if you conduct a study on how many officers used to be bullied as kids and/or were the bullies, I think you'd be shocked at the numbers.
I'm sorry but that is not enough $$. Glad he feels he got justice though.
