I say it definately kills the resale value....

I had a terrible time trying to sell my 93 cobra because of the rollbar...

It is was only an 8pt chromoloy..

I have a roll bar and know it would sell quickly if i ever sold, i have had others express interest in buying the car for years now... I would never sell it though.

Just a thought, but if the first thing going thru your mind when looking to purchase a Terminator is the ease of resale why even buy it in the first place?

Nice looking Bar Jeff....When I sold my '91 GT (that I purchased new) in 2007, the roll bar did not hurt the sell at all!! I actually sold the 17 year old car for more then what I paid new!!

.....Can't tell you the last time I had anyone in my back seat ... So, no biggie to me!

Safety first!!

I'm sure my DSG would sell very quickly if I put it on the Market :)

Does anyone else plan to put a rollbar/cage in a car just for safety after seeing a nasty car wreck out on the road? I think its a big selling point in a car just for the safety factor. I know its not fun trying to get in or out of your back seat but I'm willing to deal with that if my car is going to give me a better chance of walking away from any wreck, on the track or on the street. While riding the ambulance I saw more than a few minor/sub 40 mph wrecks that were pretty ugly.

Yes I think it kills the value. Well, maybe not the value, but it defiantly limits your buyers. An old man looking for a Sunday car who has too much money to spend before he dies probably isn't going to buy a car with a roll bar.
