Rick from Amazon in CA!! Dyno Day!!

Well guys as some of you know I got my car dyno tuned and it runs like crap, so I have been talking to Rick from Amazon Tuning, we talked for a bit yesterday about my car and its issues. He is a very cool guy and obvioulsy most of you guys know about his tuning. He is one of the top tuners in the country and just by talking to him for a short time yesterday you could tell he knows what he's talking about. Heres the deal. He told me if we could get a few people together for a dyno day, he would fly out to CA and tune our cars. He said at least 8 cars, i know we could get more, at least I hope we could. The opportunity to get your car tuned by one of the best tuners around doesnt come around too often. This is still in the planning stages and Lightning Larry has told me he would help me out, since I've never done this before. We will most likely find a place in the Stockton/Modesto area or maybe even the Bay area that will allow us to do a Dyno Day Event at their shop. Money for this would have to be paid up front. I will be in contact with Rick tomorrow to see how he wants to go about this, but once your in your in, since we cant back out once he has his plane ticket. Please post up if your seriously interested, this should be easy guys and would make for a nice meet. Here is who is in right now...

lets try to plan it the weekend of the 18th the weekend before Thanksgiving and then have the track day the weekend after Thanksgiving. The 25th to be presise. What do you all think?

Well guys I was on the phone with Linn for quite a while a bit ago. I'll break it down for you guys.

Tuner Fee $150
Tune $125 ...assuming your not a customer of Rick's already
Dyno $75-100 ...this could be more or less depending on how many people commit.
Ricks Travel Expenses $750-800 (estimate) This would be devided by all of us.
Lastly you need to have a Tuner, XCal or Predator if you dont Linn told me $399 shipped with a base tune for your car, which is a good deal.

If we get 10 people only, I say we'd be looking at close to $500 each. Hopefully we can get quite a bit more and lower the price. If we get 15 I would say maybe $350 or so which would be awesome. But these prices are all just ballpark, until we get a final price for the dyno.

Also it may not happen on the 18th, Amazon might have a Corvette Club they are tuning that day, Linn said she would let me know next week. If not then it may have to be Dec 9th, what do you guys think?

The place that we are going to do the tuning is in So Cal. It will be either in San Jose or Santa Clara. PM a message to Lightning Larry he know the city that the dyno shop will be in.
