Last night as i was having my replacement BF 2.76 pulley put on, i was reminiscing the first mods that we were doing to our cobra's when they first came out. how excited we were to do the hood mod, built labels, SF connectors, grill emblems, interior upgrades, just seems like yesterday......

I most certainly remember. There was so much excitement centered around intake and exhaust options. If you got 450rwhp you were somewhat celebrated around here. And the list of available mods was relatively small. Now, the list is a mile long and can be outright confusing. LOL! At least back then the amount you spent on mods was minimal. Now..................they can break the bank too easily!

It's so funny, back in the day everyone thought a 2.76 pulley was going to be instant death to our cars and 500 HP was a magical club few had attained. Fast forward to today and well.....

It's been a fun ride :burnout:

Jimmy, I cannot believe you've been able to resist modding the motor. Is it willpower or necessity? ;-)

Funny you mention that. I actually went with the 2.90 upper because at the time anything smaller was considered a gamble. Go figure. :burnout:

Because doing this...

Can be a little hard on these... without cooling mods...

Believe it or not... I'm contemplating a WHIPPLE!!! :bash:
Although I have been doing quite well with a bone stock Termi...

If I am able to do a couple other things in the suspension and cooling... Then adding a 15 pound Whipple set up(I refuse to run race gas!!!) will be just the right addition of power...

As of now MONEY is the reason it's still as stock as it is...
Brake pads, tires and fuel expenses... are not exactly chump change!!!

The car gets used pretty hard.... and performes like a CHAMP!!!
People are shocked in the pits when they find out how stock it is!!!

I love this car!!!
