iirc he did say on like the third page that he is absolutely dedicated to the long haul, like 5 years or more, and that he won't give up on it regardless of what happens.
has a pool been started yet?

I'm all for the guy trying to save a car thats special, I'm doing that with my dad's 64 Falcon I found 50 years after he sold it. I just think his way of going about it is all wrong and financially draining. He needs a Terminator donor if he wants to rebuild it as a terminator. Anything else is going to eat him alive.

Well 1 is get all the wiring and interior in besides the seats. The second thing. It had axels in it. My roommate at the time kept moving it around without my permission so I took the axle out. As it was scratching it up as he didn't care about it.Legitimately, what's your PRIMARY goal to accomplish as the car sits? I'm not talking the generic, "make it run," but the first step to the next step.
I don't disagree with the opportunistic parts purchases, as whenever a deal pops up, and you need that part, get it.
Personally, I would wait to fix the body panels you have, and focus on your chassis/shell. I wouldn't waste my time with trying to find an IRS assembly to shove under it. Find an SRA 8.8 out from under a GT to get it rolling. An 03/04 IRS is going to cost you no less than 2k, then, if you're doing it right, another 1-2k in bushings and a carrier rebuild. For suspension up front, either do what Justin.c_svt did on his wrecked 02 zy GT, or haul your shell to a frame shop to have it straightened. After doing that, a basic K member and suspension will do just fine. I'd bet you can find stock stuff for nearly free to get the car physically able to roll.
He was shifting it back farther towards the back wall. Had plastic shelves behind it or nothing at all some times. How and where was he moving it? It was in a small garage, right? Post 449.
That is really small, as well. Doesn't seem like there was much room to move it anywhere to begin with. Speaking of, how was he moving it? In that July 24 photo it was up on jack stands.

The front end reweld would only be if the fame was super out of alignment. That's what my roommate said (that its out of alignment). He wanted the car out of the garage so he gave me false information.I wouldn't put wiring/interior in until the body is repaired. If you end up doing welding on the car you probably don't want things that can burn. At one point I think you mentioned removing everything from the firewall forward, don't put anything in the car until the front clip is repaired and body is straight.
Back to THIS post. So, why pull the axles to prevent him from moving the body around? Why didn't you just leave the axles and put the car on jack stands with the wheels removed? Or just tell him not to move it. Some of what you've done in the past, present, and plan in the future is a bit confusing.Well 1 is get all the wiring and interior in besides the seats.
