Love me some cab-overs. Had one a while back and let it go. Shouldn't have done that. Had a screamin' Detroit in it.
Cabovers were popular when there was an overall length limit. That got repealed. Conventionals offer a much better ride, more room and are more aerodynamic.
I don't see many of them in North America, but they're popular overseas for still having shorter overall lengths, which is also very useful in navigating crowded urban areas.
Cabovers are very cold in the winter too, not to mention a pain in ass to work on for anything engine related
