I've never been a big Lexus fan, but I would definitely like an IS500. N/A V8, decent power, great sound, and a standard comfy sedan not a rough-riding performance model like a C63 or M3.

Suggested she get the IS 500 but the extra cost wasn’t appealing to her. She’d been driving a M122 3V car since 2017 and *I knew* 311 hp would get old fast.

“I should’ve bought the V8 version”, she said one day, about a month later.

Picked up a new daily driver last night. Needed to get something with AWD fairly quick as I need to make regular trips over the mountains and the weather has been gradually getting worse, plus the FiST was starting to feel a little old and driving it every day was wearing on my back and legs it felt. Hadn't seen these on the roads yet but it fit exactly what I was looking for. Specs are as follows:

2023 Escape ST-Line Elite
-2.0L 258hp turbo (same engine from the Focus ST I believe)
-AWD
-8 speed auto
-Tech Package that includes B&O sound system, heads up display, and the seats with the special embroidering
-19in wheels
-panoramic sunroof
-Heated seats and steering wheel and all the other new tech in safety and features.

I've only had it since last night and it had 5 miles on it when I took it off the lot and it has 48 miles now so I haven't had much time in it, but so far I'm loving everything about it. It drives really comfortable and first impressions feel like it is faster than my Fiesta ST was.

Interesting little hot rod! Looks fun! How is the aftermarket on these?

Thanks! The front end refresh really got my attention. I haven't seen anything yet, but I imagine they'll at least offer the bolt-ons and tunes. I'd like to try and get it to around 300hp ideally which I think would be perfect on this. The transmission feels good but there's no way to manually control it, no paddles or anything so it would be nice to have a tune that could change some of the parameters on it for the sport mode.
