A few months ago we put out the word that we were going to be putting together the first ever SVTPerformance.com/SVTOA Total SVT Display at Ponies in the Smokies 2018 ("#PITS2018"). The idea was to get one of every iteration of SVT Vehicle produced together in a single group, which is a sight most have not seen.

I've been totally blown away by the response we've gotten from members wanting to be part of the display. So far, we have commitments from owners to bring these models:

· 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra
· 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra R
· 1994-95 SVT Mustang Cobra
· 1995 SVT Mustang Cobra R
· 1996-98 SVT Mustang Cobra
· 1999-01 SVT Mustang Cobra
· 2000 SVT Mustang Cobra R
· 2003-04 SVT Mustang Cobra
· 2007-12 SVT Shelby Mustang GT500
· 2013-14 SVT Shelby Mustang GT500
· 2015-18 Shelby Mustang GT350
· 2015-18 Shelby Mustang GT350 R
· 1993-95 SVT F-150 Lightning
· 1999-04 SVT F-150 Lightning
· 1998-00 SVT Contour
· 2010-14 SVT F-150 Raptor
· 2017-18 SVT F-150 Raptor
· 2005-06 Ford GT

However; while that is a great turnout so far, we still have a ways to go. There's a few SVTs/Ford Performance Vehicles that we are still waiting for owners to contact us with. Right now we still need the following cars:

  • 2002-04 Focus SVT
  • 17-18 Ford GT
  • Focus RS
  • Focus ST
  • Fiesta ST

I have a feeling that we should be able to snag a few of these during the show, but I'd really like to get commitments beforehand. So if you have one of these vehicles and will be attending Ponies in the Smokies 2018 with it please contact us at [email protected].

Technically SVO, not SVT, but the SVO was indeed SVT before the simple name change and reorganization. I would see about including 1984-1986 SVO Mustang in that list.

If anything, there wouldn't have been SVT without the SVO.

That would be an awesome sight to see indeed. I'm amazed at all the cars you already have some leads on.

Whatever happened to SVTOA? I signed up, paid, and it disappeared.

You forgot about SVE (which is still around and active). I believe the SVE team brought us the original Taurus SHO, Escort GT and Probe GT. So those probably need to be represented as well. Also, why do people keep trying to clump the '11/'12 GT500 in with the '07-'10??? If anything, there should be the additions/changes:

'86(?) - '93 Taurus SHO (not the later versions)
'87(?) - '89(?) Escort GT (there were earlier and later Escort GTs, but they weren't SVE vehicles)
'89 - '93 Probe GT (there were later Probe GTs, but not "stamped" by SVE, I think SVE stopped leaving their stamp in '93)
'07 - '09 GT500
'10 GT500
'11/'12 GT500
'13/'14 GT500

Was the Thunderbird SC an SVE vehicle? Also, didn't SVT do the '12/'13 Boss 302? Those are absent from the list, too. I never gave it much thought, but looks like Ford has had a pretty broad range of performance vehicles over the past 3 decades.

We actually got a lot of the materials in, but have hit a brick wall on producing a magazine. I have no experience in print, it has done nothing but get more expensive, and by the time we put something together it is woefully out of date. I think we will start focusing our efforts towards live events and exclusive digital content. No one's account has started running yet.

If you think it's tough getting an SVT Focus or Contour to show up to a show like this try finding an Escort or Probe.
