Hey Folks,

In case you're interested in what our car looks like with the blower removed, check out these pics. The reason I removed the huffer was as my wife says, "I have too much time on my hands." But seriously, the reason I did it was that I was curious how much oil has been ingested over the last 9500 miles.

Here is PIC1:

Pic5: Teflon coating on rotors....okay atleast there's some left. :(

My feeling is that running nitrous through the blower is what caused the rotor coating to flake off. It's only speculation but it seems feasible that extremely cold air hitting hot rotors could be the cause. Thoughts?

Looks clean to me. I saw a KB swap on a Lightning this weekend. They also have the oil issue like we do. Although when i swapped my TB out i didnt notice as much oil as i saw on the Lightning.

Ud added an Aftermarket Water Temp?

Yes, you can see the sender in the coolant crossover tube.

Oil, Gas & Air for combustion....cant be good. But add Flakes of Coatings?
Is it just on that one blade that the coating is missing on or did u see them on ur other blades?

(thanks for the Temp info. Is it Elec. or Mech. ? )

Unfortunately the teflon has flaked off of all three rotors. All in all probably 25% of the total is gone.

The water temp gauge is electrical. It's an Autometer Lunar. Bought it at jegs.

Don,

Thank you for your help on a Sunday no less!

Ten minutes after I got off the phone with you, I had it apart. Your info did the trick.

Thanks again!

MJ

P.S. I'm going to be sending you my chip on Tuesday for a reburn. I'll also ship you out another eFPC for your inventory.

Mark, this is what happens when you run a Wet Setup on any Eaton SC Unit. Yours was a Wet Setup , correct????

Bill

If you mean the coating on the rotors, I didn't clean them. I only cleaned the intercooler to remove any oil residue.

Hi Terry,

Mine is a dry setup. I agree with you, this is the main reason I would NOT use a wet setup on this car or a Lightning.

Terry,
Marks is a dry setup. Maybe 75 shot, unless he scaled it down.

Mark,
you're wife was right. You have waaaaaaaaaaay tooooo much time on your hands.
Are you going to at least have the INSIDE of the housing polished while its off?
Call Razor's Edge and talk to Paul about it.

Dan
