Took 5yrs to pull the trigger on another street car but we finally did. Medusa isn’t going anywhere don’t worry lol. Just a fun street car that’ll see some track time at road atl Nola Motorsport and barbers. Extremely excited. Not doing crazy mods. Lowering springs, e85 tune, and that’s about it. Should be a fun track car. 2021 absolute black, six speed, recaros, handling pack. loving it so much.

Thanks guy. I’m happy with it so far. Great useable power and torque. Corners extremely well for the weight and balanced too. Going to do some suspension stuff like steeds springs and probably put a e85 tune on it for track days.

I agree on both counts. That Mach-1 is a good looking Mustang. And I, too, don't like the new S650 look.
Yea. I don’t care for them at all. Made the choice easy for a Mach 1. I wanted a 350R but the engine issues always worried me. Being that this is basically a 350R without the FPC I was good with it. I can make up the power with e85 and a tune. And it’ll spin 8-8500 if I want it to. I do wish it came with 4piston rear brembos though. I will say that

Love it. Im torn between this car and a lightly used gt350. How many miles on your Mach?

looks great
It had 5400 when I bought it. The 350s just worry me with the oil consumption stuff. I know they sound absolutely incredible though. And the Mach isn’t far off the pace of a R. Honestly a tuned Mach 1 with a higher rev limiter I bet it hangs even closer to one. Plus no lift shift and auto rev downshift on the Mach is super nice.

Good looking Mach!

@gimmie11s I picked up my '18 GT350 back in February. Had 5,9xx miles on it. It's got a little over 8k on it now. I get a little bit of oil in the passenger side catch can but it's minimal. I just check it periodically and dump it back in. So far no oil consumption issue. I have heard the same issue and talked to a few other owners and they weren't having anything crazy like what you'll read. I'm sure it happens and have seen where people get an engine replaced, etc but I don't think it's widespread. Get an ESP if you want to be safe and drive the car. Or get a Mach. Both are awesome. In theory it can absolutely work well in a given range. Most recently, I like GM's crack at it. But when you compromise for production and to meet a given budget, you are asking for longevity issues. It is most certainly not the most robust Coyote variant in production form. They're fun but if you're going to track one you'll never know when it decides to pull its own pin until things get ugly and the fun is over...

I loved mine. Miss it to this day. I just wanted a bit more power and wasn't willing to shed wasted tears on the impending doom if I cranked up the wick and pushed it to 11.

That is sharp!

Add the IRS bracing to your mod list, makes a tremendous difference without impacting ride quality. I did the BMR CB005 setup on my car.

Right now I'm going over in my head what to do about the torn drivers side diff bushing that Ford DOES NOT sell by itself, they make you buy an entire rear subframe. It's a very common problem, apparently the Shelby and Mach 1's had a bit of a better bushing for the rear diff mounts but it's something to keep an eye on.
